About the League
Thank you for your interest in the Eugene Church Softball League, where churches and friends come together for some fun, Christ honoring competition. We are all out there to enjoy the sunshine, get some exercise, and fellowship with other good people from around Eugene.
By their nature, sports are competitive, however sportsmanship and a Christ like attitude are non negotiable in our league. Whether you're a Christian or not, you are more than welcome to play in our league. Just remember that regardless of who you are or where you come from; regardless of how another team, or a fan treats you; regardless of whether an umpire is right or wrong, you have the ability and the responsibility to respond with kindness and forgiveness. This is not just a "church" league in name. We have a history and a reputation for being a positive place to compete. Umpires ask to officiate our league because of consistently good attitudes and kind treatment. Really, I want to say keep up the good work.
I love the camaraderie that sports bring us. It is why I, and all of our coaches continue to put forth the effort to bring this church league together each year, and I truly enjoy seeing everyone on the field having fun. It makes it all worth while.
Games are played at Mannahouse on the North Field. Fans are welcome. We ask that you maintain a safe and comfortable distance. Please use the north entrance closest to Coburg Rd. South and middle gates will be closed and locked.
